Dr. Bassam Abazid was raised in a family deeply rooted in healthcare — four of his brothers are physicians: a Pediatrician, a General Surgeon, an Orthopedic Surgeon, and a Cardiologist. That environment shaped his commitment to excellence and his belief that every patient deserves to feel genuinely cared for.
He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry — with a minor in Biology and a concentration in Biochemistry — earning the highest honors. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in 2008, where he received the Outstanding Senior Award, the Dean's Award, and the Award of Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry.
During his senior year, Dr. Abazid's instructors recognized his exceptional skill and perfectionism, inviting him to assist in teaching first- and second-year dental students — a distinction reserved for only the most accomplished in his class.
A member of the Alpha Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society, Dr. Abazid is committed to staying at the forefront of dentistry. Every month he travels to attend continuing education courses, ensuring his patients always benefit from the latest techniques and technology available.
